I’m a child of the 60s. I grew up in New York City surrounded by music. There was either a record playing on the turntable or a song blasting on the radio or my dad and sis were practicing their singing and strumming a folk song.
As a teenager I caught the live music bug and it’s never left. I got to see the Clash at Bond’s, the Slits at Hurrah’s, the Who (with Keith Moon!) at Madison Square Garden, Simon & Garfunkel in Central Park, and so many more.
In 2004, I launched Punk Rope, a rock ‘n’ roll-fueled fitness class, which features a new themed playlist each week.
